The Clinical Study of Comparison Efficacy Between the Vegetable Ferment Extract and the Spring Water in Fasting Therapy

Abstract
|

|
Objective: This study was performed to know that the efficacy of vegetable ferment extract in fasting(VFF) recently attracted attention, and be more helpful then existing spring water fasting(SWF) in patients.
Methods: The change of blood analysis, physical measurement and adverse symptom was compared 36 patients in SWF 36 patients in VFF all were hospitalized in oriental hospital of Woo-Suk university from jun.01.2001 to Mar.31.2003. The data was analyzed by independent t-test and paired t-test.
Results & Conclusions: There was no statistically significant difference in the change of weight loss, physical examination between VFF group and SWF group. However VFF was more efficient in that patients had little adverse symptoms than SWF group.
